Dear Dr. Batie:

I submit the report titled "A guide for writing Sailor Moon fanfics" as the final paper for spring term Technical Report Writing.

The purpose of this report is to guide the reader through the writing process by pointing out often made mistakes and offering suggestions for improvement. This report has five main sections. The first section is an analysis of my writings, using them as an example for things both well and poorly done. The next two sections are an explanation of my writing history and writing advice that is both my own and that of members of the Sailor Moon community. Following that is a discussion of the archives where fanfics are posted. The final section goes into the expectations of the Sailor Moon community that were not discussed previously.

This report is submitted in the form of a printout of an online document. Since the target audience for this paper is an online community, it has been written with their needs in mind. All sources cited in this paper are online and have been linked so that the reader can visit the site himself.

Thanks for assistance on this paper are due to Adam Randall, who offered advice in the conversion of this document to HTML format. Also, thanks are due to Dominic Amae and Helen Szeto for reading through this document as proof and technical readers. Especially to the Sailor Moon community for their responses to a poll I posted in preparation of this paper.

Sincerely,

Amanda Anderson
